<Poem>
少時猶不優生計
老後誰能惜酒錢
共把十千沽一斗
相看七十欠三年
閒徵雅令窮經史
醉聽清吟勝管絃
更待菊黃家醞熟
共君一醉一陶然
<End Poem>
<Translation>
If one has never worried about livelihood when young,
How can one worry about wine-money when old?
Each of us takes a thousand strings of cash
To purchase our wine by the gallon,
Then, at sixty-seven, we stare at each other!
In leisure hours we exhaustively explore the classics and histories
In accord with the elegant command.
Tipsily we hear clear songs and fine music!
We wait until the chrysanthemums have yellowed
And the home brew is ready,
Then we'll share it together
One in tipsiness, one the mellowing from wine.
